Margus Paju

International jury

Režissöör Margus Paju lõpetas Tallinna Ülikooli Balti Filmi- ja Meediakooli mängufilmi režii eriala 2006. aastal. 2008. aastal liitus ta produktsioonifirma NAFTA loomingulise meeskonnaga. Margus Paju seiklusfilm “Supilinna salaselts”, mis linastus 2015. aastal on siiani Eesti kõigi aegade kõige vaadatuim kodumaine koguperefilm. Lisaks lavastamisele on ta kirjutanud kriitikat ja filmiajaloo alaseid artikleid Eesti kultuurilehtedele ja ajakirjadele. Praegu arendab Margus koos NAFTA’ga uut mängufilmi 1939. aasta Eesti sõjaväeluurest.

Ben Brand

International jury

After Ben Brand graduated from Film Academy he directed two shorts; ‘Life is Beautiful’ and ‘97%’. Both films have been shown at over 150 international film festivals, gaining more than 2.000.000 views online and winning numerous awards. 97% also represented the Netherlands in the Live action short film category at the Oscars (2014).

Currently Ben’s first feature film ‘Find this dumb little bitch and throw her into a river’ which received a SPECIAL MENTION at the Warsaw international film festival and won the NEW DIRECTORS AWARD at the Kosmorama film festival is touring around the world right now.

Astrid Kasperek

International jury

Astrid Kasperek studied history of art, theatre-, film- and media studies in Marburg, Frankfurt, Wroclaw and Lodz. Since 2014 she has been working for the Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum in Frankfurt, at first for the filmfestival goEast (Festival of Central and Eastern European Film). Since 2017 she is the festivalmanager of LUCAS – International Festival for Young Film Lovers – Germany’s oldest filmfestival for young audiences.
